This privacy policy describes how we process personal data when you use RD Food’s website (“Website”) and/or buy or supply our products. Through this privacy policy, RD Foods informs you about the way in which RD Foods processes your personal data being a data controller. This mainly concerns collection, storage and use of the data. Please find below more information about why we process personal data, how we do it and what rights you have relating to your personal data.

RD Foods is convinced that protection of personal data and respecting privacy is of great importance. Personal data are treated with the greatest possible care. We find it important that the processing of personal data is executed in a manner that is in accordance with the existing safeguards for the protection of privacy. In this, we follow legislation regarding the protection of personal data, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as other Dutch related applicable laws and regulations.

What personal data does RD Foods process?
Personal data are data that can identify you, such as your name, address, e-mail address, IP address, telephone number and age. In particular, we process the following categories of personal data:

How does RD Foods obtain your personal data?
RD Foods can get access to your personal data in various ways, but mainly because we do business together and we, therefore, have obtained your personal data from you or one of your colleagues. We may also collect data because you used our Website or sent us an e-mail.
Without this personal data, we cannot (among other things) conclude and/or execute agreements with your company and/or answer your e-mails. Without cookies, some parts of our Website may not be accessible. The purposes of our processing are described in more detail below. 

On what grounds and for what purposes does RD Foods process your personal data?
The personal data that we collect are necessary for the sale and purchase of our products and for providing and improving the Website. Furthermore, we process personal data to communicate with you (e.g. in case you would contact us with a question). 
We process personal data in particular for the following purposes and only to the extent necessary for those purposes:

Exchange of personal data with third parties and/or other countries In principle, RD Foods does not make the personal data available to third parties. However, for certain purposes we may communicate your name and business details indicated above to third parties. These third parties are, besides processors (like software and cloud providers and IT

assistants) and carriers, mainly other entities of the RD Foods Group in and outside the European Union. These entities will receive your contact details, for example, if you are planning on visiting one of our plants within or outside the European Union. RD Foods will enter into written agreements with these parties, by which they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose and bound to security and other requirements.
In some cases, we are required by law to provide personal data to (other) institutions or authorities. We always look at how we can respect your privacy as much as possible. The sharing of your personal data occurs where reasonably possible in anonymous or otherwise pseudonymized form.

Security of personal data
RD Foods handles the personal data with the utmost care and takes appropriate and commercially acceptable means of organizational and technical security measures to protect the personal data of our (website) visitors, customers and suppliers against unauthorized access or changes, disclosure or destruction of personal data. Therefore, we comply with the applicable security standards. In addition, the use of the Website and the information that is exchanged, collected and analyzed there, is encrypted with an SSL-certificate. Remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If, despite the security measures we have taken, there is a security incident that is very likely to have an adverse effect on your privacy, we will inform you as soon as possible about the incident. We therefore inform you about the measures we have taken to limit the consequences and to prevent any recurrence in the future.

Retention periods
RD Foods does only store personal data as long as necessary for the purpose for which it has been processed or for any longer period we are required for by law. Below you can find an indication of how long we store your personal data. Retention periods may be longer, for example in case of disputes.
